There are 2 main ways to make biodiesel, the physical method where you simply dilute the oil with kerosene or similar, and the better method where you use sodium hydroxide to neutralize the acid in the oil. This converts the oil into alkyl-esters plus glycerine. The process is known as transesterification, which is a very easy term to mispronounce.
